A quick and easy way to add authentication via your ssh key for GoDaddy or any Linux server really is right here:
This is all in terminal (Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal.app)
- Generate your key:
- Move your key to your server
ssh-keygen -t rsa -C "firstname.lastname@example.org"
scp ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub email@example.com:.ssh/authorized_keys
To add another ssh key (the reason for this post), use the command below:
cat ~/path/to/other/key/id_rsa.pub | ssh firstname.lastname@example.org "cat >> ~/.ssh/authorized_keys"
