Log Into Godaddy Without Typing Password

A quick and easy way to add authentication via your ssh key for GoDaddy or any Linux server really is right here:

This is all in terminal (Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal.app)

  1. Generate your key:
  2. ssh-keygen -t rsa -C "your@email.com"
  3. Move your key to your server
  4. scp ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub you@example.com:.ssh/authorized_keys

To add another ssh key (the reason for this post), use the command below:

cat ~/path/to/other/key/id_rsa.pub | ssh you@example.com "cat >> ~/.ssh/authorized_keys"
